Papers, 1844-1853.

A small collection of deeds and mortgage conveyances for land at Jamaica Plain (Boston, Mass.) and Roxbury (Boston, Mass.) and a conveyance of stock, all purchased by Hannah V. (Durfee) Robinson of Roxbury. Each instrument notes specifically that Robinson's husband, merchant Thomas Lewis Robinson, is not a party to the transaction and cites Massachusetts statute of 1845, chapter 208, "an act in addition to the several acts concerning husband and wife." Also includes a deed of confirmation for land at Jamaica Plain sold by the Elliot School (Roxbury) to John Morland.
